Nurse wins $10,000

LANSING, November 30, 2006 – A very lucky Marysville woman matched eight numbers on an 8-spot Club Keno game and won a $10,000 prize!

Lori Anter plans to use her own pick winnings for Christmas presents.  She told Lottery officials that she was surprised when all eight of her numbers showed up on the screen.  Before cashing the winning ticket in, the 44-year-old hid it under her stereo.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Active Lounge, 708 Lapeer Ave., in Port Huron.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.

Winner claims big prize

LANSING, November 27, 2006 – A lucky Port Huron man matched four numbers and the Mega ball in the Nov. 7 Mega Millions drawing to win a $10,000 prize.

Tim Roller purchased the easy pick ticket at Spirit Shoppe, 3550 Gratiot Ave., in Port Huron.

The lucky winner said he learned of his good fortune when the store gave him a sheet of winning numbers.  He plans to use the prize money to pay bills.

In his spare time he enjoys softball, running and golf.

Club claims prize

The Club members, who are from Taylor, said they have been playing for about two years.  They plan to split the prize money.
