LANSING, November 27, 2006 – A very lucky Dearborn winner is $10,000 richer after matching four white balls, plus the Mega ball, in the December 2, 2005 Mega Millions drawing.

Rana Khan, who has been playing the Lottery for “a long time”, has no immediate plans for the money.

The lucky easy-pick ticket was purchased at Parkside Party Store, 3115 W. 13 Mile, in Royal Oak.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.
