Nurse wins $10,000

LANSING, November 30, 2006 – A very lucky Marysville woman matched eight numbers on an 8-spot Club Keno game and won a $10,000 prize!

Lori Anter plans to use her own pick winnings for Christmas presents.  She told Lottery officials that she was surprised when all eight of her numbers showed up on the screen.  Before cashing the winning ticket in, the 44-year-old hid it under her stereo.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Active Lounge, 708 Lapeer Ave., in Port Huron.

Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win.  Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time.  Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn.  The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $686.3 million.
