Kawkawlin man wins $500,000

LANSING, December 27, 2006 – Douglas Ballor is the latest winner in the Michigan Lottery’s Holiday Celebration Instant ticket grand prize drawing.  He walked off Ford Field on Dec. 24 $500,000 richer!

Ballor, 35, was the winner of the grand prize in a drawing Sunday afternoon during halftime of the Detroit Lions game at Ford Field.  He has “big plans” for his prize money.

The lucky winner was one of five finalists randomly selected from over 65,000 players who sent in a non-winning Holiday Celebration Instant ticket.  The other finalists in the drawing, each of whom received $5,000 for their participation in the event, included Renay Roumayah of Highland, Carla Bonk of Howell, Dan Kechak of Lansing, and Kay Armour of Marshall.

Woman wins $50,000 Club Keno prize

LANSING, December 21, 2006 – Pamela Ready from Canton won a $50,000 prize by matching nine out of 10 numbers in the 10-spot Club Keno game. 

The normal payout for this match is $5,000, but the lucky woman bet $5 a draw, increasing her prize to $25,000.  That’s not all – she kicked up her winnings by two because she selected the Kicker option.

The lucky winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Rusty Nail Lounge, 43845 Ford Rd., in Canton.

Retiree wins $35,000

LANSING, December 21, 2006 – A lucky woman claimed a top $35,000 prize in the Michigan Lottery’s Cashword Instant game.

The woman, who opted to remain anonymous, learned of her good fortune from a Lottery retailer.  She hid the lucky winning ticket in her closet before redeeming it at the Lottery’s Wyoming office.  She enjoys bowling and watching golf in her free time.

The winning ticket was purchased at The North Pole, 711 N. Westnedge Ave., in Kalamazoo.

LANSING, December 21, 2006 – The new Pink Panther ticket proved lucky for one man.  He instantly scratched his way to the top $20,000 prize!

The man, who opted to remain anonymous, plans on paying bills with his prize money.
