An anonymous Lottery player will be able to pay for a college education thanks to the Michigan Lottery.
The winner, who claimed her $500,000 Emerald Green instant ticket prize at Lottery Headquarters on October 15 plans to also use her winnings to help out her mother.
The winning ticket was sold at Express 100 Inc. located at 975 Mack in North Detroit.
In fiscal year 2012, the Lottery’s contribution to schools was approx. $770 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $17 billion to education in Michigan.
