A Warren grandmother and her significant other faithfully watch the Lottery drawings on TV.
“He calls out the numbers from the TV and I check the ticket,” she said. On July 6, something new happened, the numbers on the ticket matched the ones they were calling out on the screen! “We couldn’t believe it,” said the lucky player, who prefers to remain anonymous. “We checked the ticket numerous times to be sure.”
The player was one of two lucky winners who split the Fantasy 5 jackpot for $441,878, which means that the grandmother of four won a whopping $220,939! The other winner, who bought their ticket in Livonia, hasn’t yet claimed their half of the jackpot and can do so by calling Lottery Public Relations at 517-373-1237. Winners have one year from the time of the drawing to collect their prize.
The Warren winner already knows how she’ll spend some of her winnings, “I want to buy a four cylinder car that is good on gas,” she stated.
This winner’s ticket was sold at Warren Market at 28069 Mound Rd. in Warren. Busch’s 1029 located at 37083 6 Mile Rd. in Livonia is the location where the other unclaimed Fantasy 5 ticket was purchased on July 6.
