“Set for Life!” per Cash for Life

Michigan Lottery $5 Cash for Life IG #497Bay City retailers have sold two big winning tickets! A $5 winning Cash for Life ticket was purchased just two blocks away from the 7-Eleven located at 1915 S. Euclid Ave. that just sold the May 2 Classic Lotto 47 ticket that carries a jackpot of $6,319,677. No one has claimed this winning ticket yet!

Guess you could say Bay City is a Michigan Lottery Hot Spot right now!

The top prize on the $5 Cash for Life ticket is $2,000 a week for life.  That is exactly what a very lucky, avid instant ticket player claimed at the Michigan Lottery headquarters on Friday, May 4.  This player will now go to his mailbox once a year and find a check for 52 weeks of Cash for Life payments. “I’ll be pretty much set for life,” this player told family members who were on-hand to witness their sibling get the first installment of his Cash for Life winnings.

The winning ticket was sold at Rich Oil #8714 located at 1809 S. Euclid in Bay City.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
