The Fantasy 5 jackpot was won 12 times in the month of April, yielding over $1.5 million in cash prizes to winners. What a great month for Fantasy 5 players!

The month wrapped up with an April 28 jackpot of $100,000 that was claimed at Lottery headquarters on May 4 by an anonymous winner.

The winning ticket was purchased at Duffy’s Party Store located at 1270 E. Michigan Ave. in Battle Creek.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
