LANSING, December 14, 2010 – A Millionaire Raffle bonus prize worth $25,000 has been claimed! This is the first bonus prize that has been claimed since the drawings began on November 17.

Raffle number 035123 was drawn on December 8 and was sold at Shell, 401 E. State Hwy M28, in Munising. The winner remained anonymous.

The bonus raffle drawings began on November 17 and are being drawing weekly. Thus far, there have been four weekly bonus drawings. Three more drawings (December 15, 22, and 29) will be conducted before the Millionaire Raffle drawing which is scheduled on or after January 5, 2011.

Over 94 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2010, the contribution to schools was $701.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $15 billion to education in Michigan.
