Sterling Heights woman claims $10,000

LANSING, September 15, 2008 – Sandra Metcalf, a bakery manager from Sterling Heights, is a very lucky Mega Millions player! On August 26, she matched four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball number and won a $10,000 prize!

The lucky winner plays the Lottery just five times a year. Metcalf plans to pay her home equity loan with the prize money.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at the Troy Party Store, 6990 John R Rd., in Troy.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
