LANSING, September 26, 2007 – A regular Club Keno player is $20,020 richer after winning two times on the same ticket!
Connie Garrett bet $4 a draw on her ticket and matched nine of 10 numbers on one draw and zero of 10 on another draw to win the prize.
The 35-year-old Carsonville resident was “shocked” after learning of her big easy pick win. She hid the ticket in a safe and plans to use the prize money for home repairs.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Forester Inn, 2422 N. Lakeshore Rd., in Carsonville.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
