22-year-old wins prize

LANSING, September 5, 2007 – A lucky lady is $10,000 richer after claiming her prize from the Mega Millions game.  Amanda Kelley matched four white balls and the Mega ball in the August 28 Mega Millions drawing to win the prize.

The lucky Plymouth woman has been playing the Lottery for four years and hid the ticket in a safe before claiming her prize.  She was “very excited” when she realized she had won.

She plans to use the prize money to pay for college.  In her spare time she enjoys photography, shopping and spending time with her family.

The winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Kroger #618, 30935 5 Mile Rd., in Livonia.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
