LANSING, May 15, 2007 – A very lucky Newaygo Lottery player felt very lucky when he matched four white ball numbers and the gold Mega ball number to win a huge prize!

Mark Spillman plans to use his $10,000 that he won in the May 8 Mega Millions drawing for a down payment on a new home.

The lucky winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Plumb Inc. #673, 193 W. River Valley Dr., in Newaygo.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
