Regular Lottery player wins $10,000

LANSING, May 15, 2007 – Jeffrey Bushong is a very lucky Redford Twp. man!  He matched four white ball numbers and the gold ball in the May 1 Mega Millions drawing to win a $10,000 third-tier prize!

The salesman was in disbelief after a retailer scanned his ticket and told him he was a big winner.  He plans to use the easy pick winnings to pay bills.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at HND Party Hut, 26968 Plymouth Rd., in Redford.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
