Super Raffle tickets to sell out soon!

LANSING, May 9, 2007 – Driven by unprecedented sales in the first two days, Super Raffle tickets are on pace to sell out this evening!

As of 4:30 pm today only 16,344 tickets remain of the 250,000 originally up for grabs.

“We never expected these tickets to sell so quickly, the pace is phenomenal,” said Lottery Commissioner Gary Peters.

Super Raffle tickets cost $50 each and are on sale at all Lottery retailers.  The drawing will be conducted on June 18 when two prizes of $2 million, 25 prizes of $100,000 and 4,500 prizes of $500 will be awarded.

Super Raffle will not take the place of Millionaire Raffle; the next Millionaire Raffle game is expected to be launched in the fall.

The two $2 million winning numbers will be displayed during the Lottery’s evening broadcast on June 18.  Players will be able to check all winning numbers at the Lottery’s Web site on https://www.michiganlottery.com/, at Lottery retailers or at Lottery regional offices throughout the state.

All proceeds from the Super Raffle, as well as from all other Lottery games, are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
