LANSING, October 27, 2006 – Three unclaimed Mega Millions prizes are about to be history! That is, unless the winners claim the prizes before the tickets expire.
The three unclaimed tickets are from the October 28, 2005, November 1, 2005 and November 8, 2005 Mega Millions drawings. Players have one year from the draw date to claim prizes on Michigan Lottery online games.
Each ticket matched all five white ball numbers, without matching the Mega ball and are worth $250,000 a piece.
The winning numbers for the October 28 drawing were 08, 17, 25, 28, 53 and the Mega ball was 01; this ticket was sold at East Chester Petro, in Macomb. The winning numbers for the ticket sold on November 1 were 05, 18, 21, 28, 36 and the Mega ball was 20; it was sold at Global Fuel, in Waterford. The third ticket, which was sold at the Forest Hills BP, in Grand Rapids, had the winning numbers 08, 16, 21, 25, 27 and the Mega ball was 16.
Because October 28, 2006 falls on a Saturday, the prize can be claimed through the end of business on Monday, October 30. Other two tickets will expire on Nov. 1 and Nov. 8.
The winners holding the lucky tickets are urged to call the Michigan Lottery Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim the prize. If the prizes go unclaimed, the money will be contributed to the State School Aid Fund, which receives all Lottery profits as well.
In fiscal year 2005, the Michigan Lottery contribution to the School Aid Fund was $667.6 million.
