Winning $10,000 ticket claimed

LANSING, September 13, 2006 – Patrick Robinet of Livonia is a very lucky Mega Millions player!  He matched four white ball numbers and the Mega ball to win a $10,000 prize!

Robinet won the money from the Sept. 8 drawing.  He discovered his win on the Internet and claimed his prize at the Lottery’s Dearborn Heights office.  He has no immediate plans for the prize money.

The lucky 47-year-old purchased the winning easy pick ticket at 7-Eleven, 27350 Schoolcraft, in Redford.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 10,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
