LANSING, June 14, 2006 – Douglas Gullett from Holly is a very lucky man.  He matched four white balls and the gold Mega ball to win a $10,000 Mega Millions prize.

The regular Lottery player was very excited when he learned his easy pick ticket was a big winner.  He immediately called his wife and told her the good news.  He enjoys working on his house and plans to save his prize money for retirement.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Dixie Highway BP, 8500 Dixie Highway, in Clarkston. 

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 10,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
