LANSING, May 16, 2005 – A Macomb County man scratched his way to a brand new Ford Mustang convertible in the Michigan Lottery’s Mustang Money instant game.
The lucky player presented his winning ticket at the Lottery’s Region 8 office in Sterling Heights on May 16. He elected the cash option and took away a check for $33,989.
Mustang Money, a $2 ticket, offers Michigan Lottery players over $4 million in cash. In addition to the convertible won today, another convertible awaits a lucky player. Players can enter non-winning tickets for a chance at one of 500 prize packs of Ford-branded merchandise that will be awarded in two second chance drawings, scheduled for May 25 and June 22.
The Mustang Money prize packs contain a leather/wool racing jacket, leather bag, cap, key chain, T-shirt and blanket. To enter the drawings, players will need to submit three non-winning Mustang Money tickets either through www.playercity.net, the Lottery’s VIP club, or the US mail.
On July 6, a third Mustang convertible will be awarded to one lucky winner, chosen from the 500 prize pack winners.
Details on how to enter the second chance drawings can be found at www.playercity.net or the back of the Mustang Money tickets.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
