LANSING, May 10, 2006 – Beverly Allen won $10,022 playing Club Keno with the Kicker option!
Allen played a 7-Spot ticket and matched all seven numbers! The payout of the win is usually $2,000, but Allen hit the Kicker to win five times the amount!
The lucky winner said she plans to use the prize money to pay bills. She purchased the winning ticket, with numbers based on birthdays at Chillers Grill and Chill, 2690 E. 10 Mile Rd., in Warren.
Immediately before each Club Keno drawing, a wheel spins on the Club Keno monitor selects a Kicker number of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10. Players can select the Kicker box on their play slip and pay $1 for each dollar originally wagered. Wins on regular Club Keno drawings will be multiplied by the Kicker number, allowing players the chance to win up to 10 times their original prize amount.
Kicker began on November 20, 2005 in all 2,000 locations selling Club Keno.
Club Keno offers 37 different ways to play and win. Players can wager $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10 or $20 per drawing and tickets can be purchased for up to 20 drawings at a time. Players win Club Keno by matching some or all of the numbers they have selected to the numbers drawn. The more numbers matched, the more the player wins.
All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan. In fiscal year 2005, the contribution was $667.6 million.
