LANSING, April 11, 2003 – Martha Standish of Clinton Township is rolling in dough after scratching off a Michigan Lottery "Roll ‘Em" instant game ticket to reveal a $7,000 top prize!
Standish, who works as an account clerk for the Macomb/St. Clair Workforce Development Board, purchased the winning ticket at Canal & Garfield Shell, 16850 Canal Road, in Clinton Township.
"At first I didn’t realize that I had a winning ticket," said the 53-year-old winner. "Then, as I was about to throw the ticket away, I double-checked it and realized that I had won $7,000! I am completely shocked and thrilled the be a top-prize winner!"
Standish, who enjoys working on interior design projects and spending time with her cats and dogs in her spare time, said she kept the winning ticket in her wallet at all times to ensure its safety prior to turning it in at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights. She added that she does not yet have any special plans for her winnings.
"Roll ‘Em" is just one of many Michigan Lottery instant tickets available at more than 9,000 Lottery retailers statewide.
