LANSING, April 29, 2002 – Oakland County retailers continue to win big with the Michigan Lottery’s Big Game! Two tickets purchased in Oakland County for the April 9 drawing were each worth $150,000! The winning numbers for that day’s drawing were: 1, 15, 17, 21, 41 and the Big Money Ball number was 4.
Jacob Meffer of Shelby Township is one of two lucky Detroit-area residents to win a $150,000 prize in the April 9 Big Game drawing.
The winning ticket was purchased at MAK Imported Foods, 26201 Dequindre Road, in Madison Heights.
Another lucky Detroit-area winner is enjoying his recent windfall as well. S.D. Viers of Royal Oak also won a $150,000 prize in the April 9 Big Game drawing. He purchased the winning ticket at 7-Eleven #15558, 1121 N. Campbell Road, in Royal Oak.
Neither winner mentioned any special plans they may have for their winnings, but there is no doubt they will both enjoy their recent Lottery luck!
The Big Game is a multistate lottery game in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 7,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
Big Game drawings are conducted every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. The next Big Game drawing is Tuesday, April 30, with a guaranteed jackpot of $5 million.
