LANSING, April 25, 2002 – The recent Big Game jackpot fever that swept the nation resulted in a flood of second-tier $150,000 winners, including Kevin Blume of Indianapolis, IN! Blume matched the first five numbers in the April 16 drawing to win a $150,000 prize. The winning numbers for that day’s drawing were: 7, 10, 25, 26, 27 and the Big Money Ball number was 23.

The winning "easy pick" ticket was purchased at Busias Country Mart, 910 West Buffalo St., in New Buffalo.

"I heard the winning numbers announced on television," Blume said. "I was in a state of disbelief when I saw I had matched the first five numbers. I checked the Michigan Lottery’s Web site (www.michigan.gov/lottery) to find out what I had won. When I realized that I had won $150,000, I started making phone calls right away!"

The lucky winner said he has been playing Michigan Lottery games for the past three years, and was surprised to win such a large prize! Though he has no plans for his winnings at this time, it is certain he and his wife will enjoy their recent windfall!

The Big Game is a multistate lottery game in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at more than 7,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.
