Rolldown Winners Keep Rolling In; Grand Rapids Woman Wins $21,151 Jackpot In March 25 Drawing!

LANSING, March 28, 2002 – The winning never seems to stop for Michigan Rolldown players! A lucky Grand Rapids woman recently won the jackpot for the March 25 drawing, valued at $21,151, before taxes. The winning numbers for the March 25 drawing were: 12, 17, 18, 32 and 33.

The winning ticket was purchased at Tiny Giant Stores #3, 757 44th St. SE, in Kentwood.

In total for the March 25 drawing, 23,007 winners shared $71,742 in prizes. In addition to the sole jackpot winner, 61 winners matched four numbers to win a $142 prize; 2,373 matched three numbers to win a $9 prize; and 20,572 matched two numbers to win $1.

"I called the toll-free Lottery Link number (800-822-8888) to check the winning numbers—twice, to make sure I had heard them correctly the first time!" the winner said. "I then called Lottery headquarters in Lansing to see what I needed to do next. At first I was fairly calm, but then I was very excited when it hit me that I had won the jackpot!"

The lucky 57-year-old, who requested anonymity, is a retired Grand Rapids Public Schools teacher. She said she kept her winning ticket in a safe in her home before claiming her prize at the Lottery’s regional office in Wyoming. The winner, who enjoys bowling, traveling and participating in community service work in her free time, said she plans to invest her winnings. There is no doubt she and her husband will enjoy their windfall!

Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held six days a week—Monday through Saturday—at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are

available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide. Also, effective March 4 through March 30, Michigan Rolldown players can once again take advantage of the "Bonus Play" promotion, which offers players who purchase a ticket with five wagers or more an "easy pick" ticket—absolutely free! Players who purchase a 10-panel ticket will receive two free "easy picks."
