Lucky Warren Woman Hits The March 22 Michigan Rolldown Jackpot; Takes Home $24,384!

LANSING, March 28, 2002 – A lucky Warren woman will likely enjoy her retirement just a little bit more after matching all five numbers to win the $24,384 jackpot in the March 22 Michigan Rolldown drawing! The winning numbers for the March 22 drawing were: 5, 7, 8, 15 and 33.

The winning "easy pick" ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven 13432, 15270 E. 14 Mile Road, in Fraser.

In total for the March 22 drawing, 27,166 winners shared $84,973 in prizes. In addition to the sole jackpot winner, 88 winners matched four numbers to win a $113 prize; 2,946 matched three numbers to win a $9 prize; and 24,131 matched two numbers to win $1.

"When I checked the winning numbers in the newspaper, I was in disbelief!" the lucky retiree said. "When I called the Lottery office and they confirmed I had a winning ticket, I was absolutely overjoyed! I am so thankful!"

The lucky 76-year-old, who requested anonymity, said she kept her winning ticket in a safe deposit box before claiming her prize at the Lottery’s regional office in Sterling Heights. She added that she enjoys reading, gardening and feeding the birds in her free time, and said she plans to use her winnings to pay bills.

Michigan Rolldown’s first drawing was held on February 28, 2000. Drawings are held six days a week—Monday through Saturday—at 7:28 p.m., and the cost to play is $1 per wager. Tickets are

available at more than 7,000 Lottery retailers statewide. Also, effective March 4 through March 30, Michigan Rolldown players can once again take advantage of the "Bonus Play" promotion, which offers players who purchase a ticket with five wagers or more an "easy pick" ticket—absolutely free! Players who purchase a 10-panel ticket will receive two free "easy picks."
