April 28, 2000 – Michigan Lottery's Big Game Jackpot Climbs to $110 Million for Tonight's Drawing!

LANSING, April 28, 2000 – Imagine earning more than $11,000 in a single day!

That dream could become a reality tonight for a lucky Michigan Lottery player – if the right Big Game combination can be found! Michigan Lottery officials today announced that the estimated jackpot for tonight’s Big Game drawing has been raised to $110 million, up $5 million from yesterday’s estimate.

If one winning ticket matches all six numbers and the player has selected annuity payments over 26 years, the $110 million jackpot would amount to pre-tax payments of roughly:

  • $4.23 million annually;
  • $81,360 per week; or
  • $11,622 per day!

For those who prefer to take their cash winnings up-front, it’s a pretty nice payday as well. If one lucky cash-option player matches all six winning numbers, he or she will take home a check for approximately $55.8 million (before taxes), the estimated present cash value of tonight’s jackpot!

Big Game tickets are available in Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey and Virginia. Friday’s drawing will be conducted at 11 p.m. and broadcast on cable superstation WGN out of Chicago as well as a network of Michigan stations (check local listings).
