LANSING, April 26, 1999 – West Bloomfield resident Leonard Yourofsky is wearing a big smile these days, thanks to the Michigan Lottery. Yourofsky matched the first five numbers in the April 20 Big Game drawing to win the game’s $150,000 prize!
That day’s winning numbers were: 11, 12, 17, 18, 41 and the Big Money Ball number was 6.
"When I saw the drawing results in the Detroit Free Press the next morning, I was pretty happy," said Yourofsky. "I was at home so I called my cousin and he double-checked the numbers for me."
The 51-year-old winner said he’s been a regular Michigan Lottery player since 1972. He plans to use his Big Game winnings to pay bills.
The winning Big Game "easy pick" ticket was purchased at Southland Corp. #12995 (7-Eleven), 4264 Orchard Lake Road, in West Bloomfield.
Since The Big Game’s first drawing in September 1996, there have been 175 $150,000 winning Big Game tickets sold by Michigan Lottery retailers! Six Big Game jackpot-winning tickets have also been sold by Michigan retailers, including the largest in Michigan Lottery history at $45.6 million.
