LANSING, April 26, 1999 – The hunch paid off for a Lincoln Park woman who recently won a top Michigan Lottery prize! She matched all five winning numbers in the April 20 Cash 5 drawing to win the game’s top $100,000 prize.

The winning Cash 5 numbers that day were: 3, 14, 26, 27 and 34.

"I always felt I could win on the Cash 5 game," said the 73-year-old winner, who requested anonymity.  "You’ve got to just keep trying!

"I watched the drawing on WDIV-TV 4 and I got really nervous," she said.  "I thought maybe I’d taken the numbers down wrong, so I called my son.  He watched the news and then called the Lottery the next day and found out for sure."

The winning Cash 5 "easy pick" ticket was purchased at Jumbo Supermarket, 3807 Fort St., in Lincoln Park.

A regular Michigan Lottery player for more than 25 years, the lucky lady said she plans to invest part of her Cash 5 winnings, use a portion for home "fix-ups" and will share the rest with her family.

Cash 5 drawings are conducted every Monday through Friday at 7:28 p.m.  Players can win $100,000 for match all five winning numbers; $350 for matching four of five numbers drawn; or $20 for matching three of five numbers drawn.

Tickets are available for Cash 5 and other Michigan Lottery on-line games at more than 6,400 Lottery retailers throughout the state.
