LANSING, May 5, 1998 – A Bad Axe woman was graced with good fortune recently – she won the $100,000 Cash 5 top prize in the April 7 drawing with an "easy pick" ticket!

The winner, who requested anonymity, was still amazed by her win when she came to Michigan Lottery headquarters to claim her prize.

"I couldn’t believe it was true, even after I checked the numbers several times," she said.  "We checked the numbers in the Huron Daily Tribune and then called the store to verify."

The 57-year-old winner, a production operator at Active Industries, said she and her husband will use their prize money to buy a truck, pay bills, build a garage, and visit her sister in Iowa.

The winning Cash 5 ticket was purchased at Ron’s Party Store, 2 N. Main St., in Elkton.  The winning Cash 5 numbers on April 7 were: 4, 7, 12, 15 and 33.

Cash 5 drawings are conducted every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
