$500,000 Emerald GreenAn anonymous Lottery player will be able to pay for a college education thanks to the Michigan Lottery.

The winner, who claimed her $500,000 Emerald Green instant ticket prize at Lottery Headquarters on October 15 plans to also use her winnings to help out her mother.

The winning ticket was sold at Express 100 Inc. located at 975 Mack in North Detroit.

In fiscal year 2012, the Lottery’s contribution to schools was approx. $770 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed more than $17 billion to education in Michigan.

Lottery player spells his way down Red Hot Lane!

Tripling Red Hot CashwordAn anonymous Lottery player claimed his $300,000 prize today at Lottery Headquarters, after spelling out six words in red on the Michigan Lottery instant game Tripling Red Hot Cashword.

The winner and his wife plan to invest most of their winnings in stocks. The winner did state that there would be $10,000 deposited into his bank account for “mad money” to use when he should need it.

The winning ticket was sold at Family FR QK STP #854 located at 2760 Port Sheldon in Jenison.
