Kalamazoo woman "cashes" in

LANSING, December 7, 2006 – A lucky 60-year-old Kalamazoo woman won a $35,000 prize from the Michigan Lottery’s Cashword Instant game.

The woman, who opted to remain anonymous, couldn’t believe her good fortune.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Comstock Beer Store, 6086 E. Michigan, in Kalamazoo.

Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.

Southfield player wins big

LANSING, December 6, 2006 – Thamira Easa was very lucky when the easy pick ticket she purchased matched four white balls, plus the Mega ball to win $10,000 in the October 27 Mega Millions drawing!

The winner was “very excited” and hid the ticket between her pillows. She plans to use her prize money to buy Christmas gifts.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Venoy Gas, 2910 Venoy Rd., in Wayne.

Winner matches five, wins big

LANSING, December 6, 2006 – David Anson is a very lucky man!  He matched all five white balls, without matching the Mega ball in the November 10 Mega Millions drawing.

The Canton man walked away with a whopping $250,000!

Anson, who has been playing the Lottery since it began, said he “couldn’t believe it” when he realized his ticket was a big winner.

He kept the ticket on the refrigerator and plans to use the money to pay bills.

Fantasy 5 winner claims prize

LANSING, December 6, 2006 – A very lucky East Lansing woman was in “disbelief” when she matched all five numbers in the November 29 Fantasy 5 drawing.

The own pick ticket was worth a whopping $193,711!  The winner said she used numbers from a fortune cookie to pick her numbers.

LANSING, December 6, 2006 – Gary Downing is a very luck man!  He scratched a winning Holiday Celebration ticket worth $10,000!

The Clinton Township man “couldn’t believe it” when he scratched the winning ticket.  He has been playing the Lottery for 15 years and this is his largest win to date.
