Kalamazoo woman "cashes" in

LANSING, December 7, 2006 – A lucky 60-year-old Kalamazoo woman won a $35,000 prize from the Michigan Lottery’s Cashword Instant game.

The woman, who opted to remain anonymous, couldn’t believe her good fortune.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Comstock Beer Store, 6086 E. Michigan, in Kalamazoo.

Cashword is just one of many Michigan Lottery Instant tickets available at nearly 11,000 Lottery retailers statewide.

All proceeds from the Lottery are contributed to the state School Aid Fund which supports kindergarten through 12th grade public education in Michigan.  In fiscal year 2006, the contribution was $688 million.
