Thompsonville man claims Mega Millions prize

LANSING, December 18, 2006 – Boyd Clampitt purchased a very lucky easy pick ticket earlier this week!  The Thompsonville man matched enough numbers to win a third-tier $10,000 prize in the Mega Millions game.

The lucky winning ticket was purchased at Thompsonville View Mini Mart, 13033 Cadillac Hwy, in Thompsonville.

Mega Millions is a multi-state lottery game in Michigan, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Wagers cost $1 each and tickets may be purchased at nearly 11,000 Michigan Lottery retailers statewide.

Club wins $10,000

LANSING, December 18, 2006 – The Lucky Valves Lottery Club, of Highland, are very happy!  They won $10,000 when their Mega Millions ticket matched four white balls, plus the Mega bal in the December 8 drawing.

The club representative said she checked the Lottery’s Web site and was screaming when she discovered the group had won big.

$250,000 prize claimed

LANSING, December 18, 2006 – A very lucky Pontiac man is $250,000 richer after he matched all five white balls, without matching the Mega ball, in the October 3 Mega Millions drawing.

Lawrence Richardson checked his numbers on the Lottery’s Web site and was so shocked he had to ask his girlfriend to check the ticket again.

Richardson hid the winning ticket in a safe deposit box and plans to use the money to pay bills. 

The winning easy pick ticket was purchased at Mejier #30, 2777 Airport Rd., in Jackson.

Fraser man wins big

LANSING, December 18, 2006 – A longtime player cashed in when he matched all five numbers in the December 9 Fantasy 5 drawing to win $105,002.

The winner, who chose to remain anonymous, said he plays the Lottery regularly and “couldn’t believe it” when he saw his numbers in the Lottery’s Web site.

He selected his “own pick” numbers from the ages of his family members. 

The winner plans to use the prize money to pay bills, take a vacation and buy a new car.

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro-Quad, 20913 Gibralter Rd., in Brownstown Township.

Fantasy 5 drawings are conducted seven days a week.  Jackpots start at $100,000 and grow by approximately $5,000 daily.
