An Oakland County woman is house-hunting after winning a $100,000 Fantasy 5 jackpot prize.

Megan Griffin, of Leonard, matched the Fantasy 5 numbers in the Feb. 5 drawing to win the big prize: 09-13-23-26-28. She bought her winning ticket at Lakeville Market and Liquor, located at 503 Lakeville Road in Leonard. Leonard is about 15 miles north of Rochester Hills.

“I love the Fantasy 5 game and I play it often,” said Griffin. “I was scanning several tickets at the store and a message came up to file a claim on one of my Fantasy 5 tickets, so I knew I had to have won a big prize.

“I scanned the ticket on the Lottery app and confetti immediately came up on the screen with a $100,000 message. I tried to stay calm since people were around, but I was so excited!”

Griffin, 37, recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. She plans to use her winnings towards a down payment on a new home.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $110,000 in the nightly Double Play drawing. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m.
