A set of lucky numbers finally paid off for an Oakland County man who won a $100,000 Fantasy 5 jackpot.

“I have been playing the same set of number for 10 years, which are a combination of dates and lucky numbers,” said the lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous. “I was leaving the country for a few weeks and decided to purchase a multi-draw ticket before I left to make sure I didn’t miss any draws, and I’m so happy that I did!”

The 42-year-old player bought his winning ticket at Old West Tobacco Store, located at 45209 West Pontiac Trail in Novi. He matched the Fantasy 5 numbers drawn on May 5 – 11-15-28-31-34 – to win the jackpot.

“When I checked the winning numbers the morning after the drawing, I recognized them right away and knew I had won big,” said the player. “I couldn’t wait to get home to claim my prize! I got off my flight this morning and came straight to the Lottery to claim my prize.”

The player visited Lottery headquarters Thursday to claim the big prize. With his winnings, he plans to buy a home.

“It feels great to win a prize like this. My lucky set of numbers finally paid off after 10 years,” the player said.

Each Fantasy 5 play is only $1. For an additional $1 per play, EZmatch may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a chance to win up to $500 instantly. For an additional $1 per play, Double Play may be added to a Fantasy 5 ticket, giving players a second chance to win up to $110,000 in the nightly Double Play drawing. Fantasy 5 players select five numbers from one to 39. Players who match all five Fantasy 5 numbers drawn win a jackpot that starts at $100,000. Fantasy 5 drawings are held seven days a week at 7:29 p.m. Tonight’s Fantasy 5 jackpot is $110,000.
