A 22-year-old Grand Rapids man has a trip to Georgia on his mind after winning a $50,160 Club Keno The Jack prize.
Ryan Hainer, 22, won the big prize when his easy pick The Jack numbers – 05-06-14-25-45-46-54-69 – matched eight of the 20 Club Keno numbers drawn in draw 1617685 on Friday evening. He bought his winning ticket at Buffalo Wild Wings, located at 2121 Celebration Way in Grand Rapids.
“I stopped at B-Dubs after work for a drink and bought a couple of Club Keno tickets,” said Hainer. “I was watching the drawings and saw my Jack numbers come in. I started freaking out because I couldn’t believe it. The next thing I know, the whole place is cheering for me.
“It’s a real blessing to win. The first thing I am going to do is take a trip to Georgia to visit my sister.”
Hainer visited Lottery headquarters Monday to claim the big prize. In addition to a trip to Georgia, he also plans to take another vacation.
The Jack is a Club Keno add-on game that players may add to their Club Keno wager for as little as $1 per draw. With The Jack, players get eight easy pick numbers to match to the Club Keno numbers drawn. Players may win prizes ranging from $1 to the jackpot. The jackpot starts at $10,000 and grows until it is won. To win the jackpot, players must match all eight numbers.
Club Keno may be played at the 11,000 Lottery retailers across the state. Drawings take place every three and a half minutes. Results and live drawings may be found online at http://www.michiganlottery.com.
In 2017, Lottery players won about $423 million playing Club Keno, The KICKER, and The Jack.
