Grand Rapids Man Wins $300,000 Playing Michigan Lottery’s Hold ‘Em Poker Instant Game

Winning a $300,000 prize playing the Michigan Lottery’s Hold ‘Em Poker instant game made a Grand Rapids man “really happy.”

The player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought the winning ticket at the Fast Lane Party Store, located at 1720 Buchanan Avenue Northeast in Grand Rapids.

The 36-year-old player visited Lottery headquarters with his family on Friday to collect the big prize. With his winnings, the player plans to buy a new home for his family.

Players have won more than $16.3 million playing Hold ‘Em Poker, which launched in September 2016. Each $5 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $5 up to $300,000. More than $5 million in prizes remain, including one $300,000 top prize and 30 $1,000 prizes.

Lottery instant games may be purchased at 11,000 retailers across the state.

In 2016, Lottery players won nearly $817 million playing instant games.
