An Oakland County woman is looking forward to being debt free after winning a $63,004 Club Keno The Jack prize from the Michigan Lottery.
The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, won $63,004 when her easy pick The Jack numbers – 03-20-29-32-37-67-71-73 – matched eight of the 20 Club Keno numbers drawn in draw 1436409 on Thursday. She bought her winning ticket at Mainstreet Marketplace, located at 3171 Union Lake Road in Commerce Township.
“I played Club Keno earlier in the day and won $50,” said the 29 year-old player. “I decided to reinvest it and bought a Club Keno ticket with The Jack for 25 draws.
“I was watching the drawings on the Lottery app and after 20 draws I was thinking I wasn’t going to win anything. A couple draws later, I hit The Jack!”
The player couldn’t wait to share the good news with her family.
“I told my husband and my close family members,” said the player. “After I told my grandma, she even started playing Club Keno.”
With her winnings the player plans to pay bills and put a down payment down on a house.
“I’ve been going through some rough times financially trying to afford school and make ends meet, and this takes such a weight off my shoulders. It feels so amazing to win,” the player said.
The Jack is a Club Keno add-on game that players may add to their Club Keno wager for as little as $1 per draw. With The Jack, players get eight easy pick numbers to match to the Club Keno numbers drawn. Players may win prizes ranging from $1 to the jackpot. The jackpot starts at $10,000 and grows until it is won. To win the jackpot, players must match all eight numbers.
Club Keno may be played at the 11,000 Lottery retailers across the state. Drawings take place every three and a half minutes. Results and live drawings may be found online at http://www.michiganlottery.com.
In 2016, Lottery players won about $412.5 million playing Club Keno, The KICKER, and The Jack.
