“My husband and I won $130 playing the Superstar Cash game on Wednesday night and decided to buy more Lottery tickets with our winnings,” said the lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous. “We bought six $20 and one Superstar Cash ticket and it was a $1 million winner.”

The lucky player bought her winning ticket at the Meijer store, located at 26100 Vreeland Drive in Flat Rock.

“When I scratched off the winning ticket I saw an ‘M’ on the ticket and I knew it was a winner,” said the player. “All I could say was ‘Is this real?’

“My husband looked the ticket over to make sure I was reading everything right, and then we couldn’t stop celebrating.”

The player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim her big prize. She chose to receive her prize as a one-time lump sum payment of $634,517, rather than an annuity. With her winnings, the player plans to pay some bills, invest in a business with her husband, and finally take a honeymoon.

“I’m not sure how to describe winning $1 million, I’m just awestruck,” the player said.

Players have won more than $23 million playing Superstar Cash, which launched in June 2016. Each $10 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $10 up to $1 million. More than $24.7 million in prizes remain, including 24 $10,000 prizes and 519 $1,000 prizes.

Lottery instant games may be purchased at 11,000 retailers across the state.

In 2016, Lottery players won nearly $817 million playing instant games.
