The Michigan Lottery is giving players who buy an Online Game Card bonus free play this month with the Buy More, Get More promotion.
Starting Aug. 8, the Buy More, Get More promotion will give players a higher amount of bonus free play when they buy larger denomination Online Game Cards. Each $10 online game card will receive a $2 bonus, $20 online game cards will receive a $5 bonus, $50 online game cards will receive a $15 bonus, and $100 online game cards will receive a $35 bonus. The Buy More, Get More promotion will run for a limited time. It is scheduled to end Aug. 21.
Each Online Game Card will be printed from the retailer’s Lottery terminal and will include a unique code that players enter into their Michigan Lottery account for online play. Each code is valid for five years from the date of purchase.
Players may redeem up to $200 – not including bonus play – in Online Game Cards per week in their online accounts.
Online Game Cards have been a popular way for players to fund their online accounts because they allow players to buy in store and play online without requiring a player to enter their banking or credit card information online. Since December 2014, the Lottery has offered a $20 Online Game Card that includes $5 in bonus free play. About 25 percent of online players have used an Online Game Card at least once to fund their account. These cards also will remain available at retailers, but aren’t included in the Bonus Buys promotion.
Michigan Lottery players have a chance to win up to $500,000 instantly playing online. Players may also win prizes ranging from $1 up to multimillion dollar jackpots playing Powerball, Mega Millions, Lotto 47, and Fantasy 5 online. Through its online platform, the Lottery offers players more than 30 different games with plays ranging in price from 5 cents to $20.
