The lucky player, who chose to remain anonymous, bought his winning ticket at the Shell gas station, located at 721 South Lapeer Road in Oxford.

The 59-year-old player said he was in shock after learning he had won a top prize playing 100X The Cash. He hid his winning ticket in a kitchen drawer before visiting Lottery headquarters today to claim his prize.

He chose to take his prize as a one-time lump sum payment of about $1.3 million rather than an annuity.

In addition to paying for his daughter’s wedding, the big winner plans to pay off his debt and take a vacation with his wife.

Players have won more than $46 million playing 100X The Cash, which launched in July 2015. Each $20 ticket offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $20 up to $2 million. More than $57 million in prizes remain, including one $2 million top prize, 48 $10,000 prizes, and 1,249 $1,000 prizes.

Lottery instant games may be purchased at 11,000 retailers across the state.
