It’s been a lucky year for Michigan Lottery players thanks to the Lucky For Life game.
Wednesday marks one year since ticket sales began in Michigan for the popular multi-state lottery game. Each Lucky For Life drawing offers players a chance to win prizes ranging from $3 up to $1,000 a day for life. All told, Lucky For Life has produced some impressive results for Michigan players in its first year:
- More than $11.5 million in total prizes paid to players
- Nearly 1.4 million winning tickets sold, third most among participating states
- Eight winners of the game’s $25,000 a year for life second prize, tied with Connecticut for the most second prize winners
- Each Lucky For Life drawing is producing more than 13,000 winners in Michigan, on average
Michigan is one of 18 lotteries offering players the Lucky for Life game. The other participating lotteries are: Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Idaho, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, and Washington D.C.
For just $2 per play, Lucky For Life gives Lottery players a chance to win prizes ranging from $3 to a lifetime of cash. To win the game’s top prize of $1,000 a day for life, players must match all five winning numbers ranging from 1 to 48, plus one Lucky Ball ranging from 1 to 18. Players who match all five winning numbers, but not the Lucky Ball, will win $25,000 a year for life. Lucky For Life drawings take place every Monday and Thursday at 10:35 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at Lottery retailers across the state.
