A lucky player won the $3.5 million Lotto 47 jackpot on Saturday after matching the six winning numbers drawn: 04-06-16-26-33-36. The winning ticket was bought at the Pellston General Store, located at 45 North U.S. 31 in Pellston.
Saturday’s big win marks the first time the Lotto 47 jackpot was won in 2015. The game’s last jackpot winner came on Nov. 8, 2014 when a Kalkaska County woman won $2 million.
A Powerball player also hit it big on Saturday. While the Powerball jackpot was not won, five lucky players did win the game’s $1 million prize, including one Michigan player. To win $1 million, players had to match the first five numbers drawn: 15-16-23-27-36.
The lucky player bought the winning ticket at Zerka’s Party Store, located at 134 West Main Street in Stanton.
Each winner should contact the Michigan Lottery Public Relations Division at (517) 373-1237 to schedule an appointment to collect their big prize. The prizes must be claimed at the Lottery’s headquarters in Lansing. Tickets for Lotto 47 and Powerball are valid for one year from the drawing date.
Each Lotto 47 play is only $1. Players select six numbers from one to 47 for a chance to win a jackpot starting at $1 million and that grows until someone wins it. For an additional $1 per game, players may add EZMatch to their ticket for a chance to win up to $500 instantly. Lotto 47 drawings take place on Wednesday and Saturday at 7:29 p.m.
Powerball plays may be purchased for $2 each at Lottery retailers across the state. A “Power Play” option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to five times may be added to any Powerball play for only $1.
The Powerball drawing may be watched live on the Lottery’s network of stations: WBKB-TV 11 (CBS), WDIV-TV 4 (NBC), WNEM-TV 5 (CBS), WXSP-TV (MyNetwork TV), WLAJ-TV 53 (ABC), WLUC-TV 6 (NBC/FOX) and WGTU-TV 29/WGTQ-TV 8 (ABC).
