The month of May ended on a positive note for a Michigan Lottery Powerball player!

Douglas Nowak of Brownstown made his way to the Michigan Lottery Headquarters in Lansing this week to claim his prize of $1 million from the May 25 Powerball drawing. Nowak selected his Powerball numbers based on his mother’s birthday, and it paid off. With his match-5 winnings Nowak will pay off debt.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Get & Go Market located at 10950 Beech Daily Rd. in Taylor.
