Three days later and just over 56 miles south, Powerball makes another lucky Michigan Lottery player a millionaire!
One player matched five numbers in Saturday’s drawing to win $1 million! The winning numbers were 14-26-41-55-59 and the Powerball 01. The lucky ticket was sold at Hiller’s Market #5 at 15455 Haggerty Rd., in Plymouth on August 18.
Powerball has paid out almost $340 million to Michigan winners in the two drawing since August 15!
“We have been waiting to hear from our $337 million jackpot winner, and now we are looking forward to hearing from this lucky player too,” said Director of Public Relations Andi Brancato. “If you are holding either of these two winning tickets, you should contact the Michigan Lottery’s Public Relations Division at 517-373-1237 to schedule an appointment to claim your prize.”
Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
