Small town player wins big money and turns fantasy into reality!

Fantasy 5Susan T. of Omer no longer has to fantasize about how great it would be to win the Lottery because she claimed her Fantasy 5 prize of $268,481 on July 26.

Susan purchased one of two lucky Fantasy 5 tickets for the July 17 drawing with a whopping jackpot of $536,962.

Susan did not choose to play her own numbers; she instead placed her wager via easy pick.

Susan would like to save the prize money and as of now has no immediate plans other than taking her check straight to the bank!

Susan’s winning ticket was purchased at Standish Trading Post, 201 N. Main St, in Standish. The other winning ticket was purchased at D & T Marathon, 1300 Southfield Fwy, in Dearborn, and has also been claimed.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
