June 16 was already a special day for this player, as it was the day that he welcomed his daughter into the world.  However, now it is also the day the he welcomed $110,000 from a Fantasy 5 jackpot!

This winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, intends to use his winnings to “take a nice trip; the exact location is still yet to be decided,” he happily informed Lottery staff on June 20 when he picked up his winnings in Lansing.

The winning ticket was sold at Clinton Shell #1100 located at 705 Tecumseh Rd. in Clinton.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
