On cloud nine, Patricia Halbritter of Roscommon drove 140 miles to the Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing on June 11 to claim the Fantasy 5 jackpot of $110,000 from the June 7 drawing.
When asked what she was going to do with her winnings, Halbritter said, “I’m going fishing!” According to Halbritter the fishing will commence at Higgins Lake. She went on to say, “Higgins Lake was once rated by National Geographic as the sixth most beautiful lake in the world.” In addition to enjoying the summer on the lake fishing, she also intends on paying off bills and putting the rest in the bank.
The winning ticket was sold at Town & Country BP located at 3576 E. Higgins Lake Dr. in Roscommon.
