Player dreams of winning, and wins the next day!

Keno! $250,000The retired Lottery player bought his KENO! ticket on Monday afternoon. Monday night he had a fantastic dream, that all his numbers came through and he won the Lottery.  On Tuesday he rushed outside to get the newspaper so he could check his numbers. His dream had come true! He had won the KENO! jackpot for $250,000!

“After I checked the numbers I went into the kitchen and told my wife not to get too excited, but that we had won $100,000,” he said. His wife didn’t listen, she danced a jig!

It wasn’t until the player, who wishes to remain anonymous, tried to claim his prize that he realized he hadn’t won $100,000, but $250,000!

The happy pair have lots of plans for their winnings. “We are going to pay off our mortgage, get a car, take a vacation and visit family out of state,” they said.

“They deserved to win,” said their daughter. “Times have been really hard.”

The winning ticket was sold at Tony R’s 2 Market located at 6010 N. Saginaw St. in Mount Morris.

Over 95 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2011, the contribution to schools was over $727.3 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $16 billion to education in Michigan.
