Romantic gesture leads to Mega Millions win!

3.20.12 MM $250K Erik Hennigan Pinckney

Erik Hennigan of Pinckney claims $250,000 from the 3/20/2012 Mega Millions drawing

Erik Hennigan and his fiancée chose some special numbers to play for the Mega Millions game. The lucky players chose their numbers based on the month and day of their first date, their future wedding date and the fact that they are the same age.  This winning combination of numbers won them a $250,000 Mega Millions prize!

The ticket was the first ever purchased by Hennigan, who only has one regret. “If we had played the age we will be when we get married (30) as our Mega number, we would have won the jackpot,” he stated.

The Pinckney couple intend to use the money to pay off student loans, finance their wedding and renovate their home.

The winning ticket was sold by Eagle Express Liquor & Deli located at 9576 Highland Rd. in Howell.
